Happiness

Happiness is the most important factor in life. For their whole life, people have tried to look for happiness. Depending on people’s thinking, happiness is understood or found in many different ways.

One may think that happiness is to be wealthy, so he tries to work hard to get as much money as possible to have happiness. Sometimes, he doesn’t realize that the way he gets money is right or wrong. He may do something illegal to get money to enjoy happiness. Therefore, a criminal appears in this way. The criminal is arrested and sent to prison. He has to pay a price for happiness as he doesn’t understand what happiness really is.

On the other hand, happiness is something very simple. In some way, people don’t need to find happiness far away. A flower blossoming in the morning can make a person feel easy. A bird singing in a tree can lessen one’s stress. Giving gifts to the poor can bring happiness to the receivers and the givers. Helping people in their need can also make helpers happy.

Happiness can be a good direction. A student considers that his happiness is to get his college degree, so he tries his best to study to reach his happiness. Another thinks that his happiness is to contribute to his country, and he should work hard to accomplish his job. Accomplishing his job can bring him happiness as he supposes it is a part of his responsibility for his country.  Most people have pursued happiness for their whole life. However, some of them may not realize that happiness can appear everywhere, simply and softly. Happiness is anything effortless, so anyone can feel it by himself or herself in a positive way.

My Dream of Becoming a Writer

One day, I read an article titled “Asian American Literature”, in which Keith Lawrence says, “A dozen contextual essays introduce fundamental elements or subcategories of Asian American literature, expanding on social and literary concerns or tensions that are familiar and relevant”. However, as an Asian American, I don’t think many contextual essays fully talk about social experiences in Asian American Society. For this reason, I eagerly want to become a writer because I hope writing about my social experiences may be helpful to the audience so they may have a new concept on Asian American Society. I have experience in life of suffering and happiness; I think I can help readers figure out how to avoid pain and live a happy life. If I write books, readers may know more about life, because I will insert true stories in my books.

Writing can lessen your stress because you can tell many things to readers, who may like you or may not; but at least you can confide yourself to readers. Writing doesn’t require you to drive to the office for work. You can work from home with less cost because you don’t pay for gas when you don’t drive to work.

Writing can lessen your stress because you can tell many things to readers, who may like you or may not; but at least you can confide to readers something you dare not tell your relatives or friends. Moreover, if you are a good writer, you can help readers feel excited, happy, or compassionate with your books. You can make money if your books become bestsellers like the Harry Potter books.

If you are a writer, you will find yourself relaxed and comfortable while writing. Writers should not be stressed even though many people are easily stressed with their jobs.

One more thing I should tell you that writing apparently needs to be perfected through College Success Skills because we are taught how to write effectively and attractively. You know, the more you engage in your work the more you can understand it and do it better.

Yes. I just confided to you my dream of becoming a writer and hope you will be my fans when you read my books. (Laughter) Thank you for paying attention to my speaking.

Next week’s episode should be talked about How Asian American Culture is looked in the US.

It’s Minh Tam Dewey on deweyebook site.

Thank you so much for listening.
